KE1CHI has developed an interest in music since a very early age so he became researcher in the field due to his interest in various world music traditions. He finally ventured into a musical career in early 2012. Since then, he collaborated and produced several artists around the globe.

KE1CHI has said that various forms of entertainment across many platforms have influenced him, including early 2000’s japanese hip-hop, j-core scene and artists like Nujabes, Kreva, M-Flo and Ryuichi Sakamoto. Also, the films by cult filmmakers like Shunji Iwai or Mamoru Oshii became an influence.
